CVCT CardioBrief will provide a platform for a diverse spectrum of opinions and perspectives on issues of interest to the cardiovascular clinical trials community. We aim to promote rigorous, unbiased, and patient-centred scientific discourse and debate within the cardiovascular community. CVCT CardioBrief does not seek to compete with medical journals or other traditional forums; instead we seek to create an accessible and responsive forum for discussion about important cardiovascular trials and other significant developments. It is our goal to provide a voice for perspectives that may not have always been able to gain exposure and consideration in traditional settings.

CVCT CardioBrief is an expansion of the CardioBrief website and is published by the CVCT Forum.

Would you like to write for CVCT CardioBrief? We are looking for brief original contributions of interest to the broad cardiovascular clinical trial community. We also invite readers to respond to posts and take part in the discussion on the site. Please send inquries or submissions to editorial@f95uvv.wcbzw.com

For many years most clinical trials were done on white men only. African Americans, women, and other minorities were not included. It is reported that heart diseases cause more deaths than cancer and not just in white men! (more…)

In December 2023, the rumblings of a virus meandering its way through Wuhan province in China slowly made their way to Western airways. Little attention was paid to its steady spread until it had permeated the globe and halted life as we know it in a few short months. Suddenly, healthcare systems faced immense challenges (more…)

I was diagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) six years ago.  I have a vivid memory of that meeting with the cardiologist, who told me that HFpEF is untreatable and that 50% of HFpEF patients die within five years of diagnosis. Because of my history of dealing with two cancers and being an active cancer patient advocate, I quickly asked about clinical trials.  (more…)

Before I tell you what this site is about let me first tell you what it is not and why we think the world needs a new cardiology website.

We are not an academic or scholarly publication, and we don’t seek to compete with traditional journals or other cardiology sites. Instead, we hope to offer something that’s not available anywhere else. (more…)

No, CRISPR gene editing technology is not going to “cure” heart disease. But a New York Times story by Gina Kolata on an extremely early study in animals prominently plays up just this extremely unlikely claim. 手机如何看youtube
